What’s in my bag for DRTV shooting day

This is what I take for a typical DigitalRev TV shooting day.

Billingham Hadley Pro Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim)
Style meet practical. Easy access stuffs on the go, England approved weather proofing.

Canon 5D Mark III
The gold standard choice of HD-DSLR, for now.

Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens
Great zoom range, IS, an excellent video lens. A bit soft for still image, but alright for video. The secret of why I don’t use rig.

Genustech Eclipse ND Fader
So far so good for the price. Besides very little tint (most ND fader do), no noticeable degrade on image quality.

Audio-Technica ATW-1821 Dual Wireless Mic
So far so good for the price. Low noise, good reception range. Poor product design on hard to change batteries, receiver case not durable (still working but top panel falling off). After all there are not many choices on the market that offer dual channel receiver. I’ve a custom ordered cable which split two channel separately to L/R channel into the 5D.

Panasonic Eneloop Rechargeable Batteries
Good for the environment and cheaper on the long run compare to disposable. There is no reason not to use rechargeable batteries besides lazy. Also, uou can charge these batteries and leave them wait for weeks, months before using them, unlike conventional rechargeable batteries which lose power after just a few days.

Sigg Water Bottle
Look cool, durable, I hate wasting plastic bottled water.

Victorinox Swiss Army MiniChamp II Pocket Knife

iPod Shuffle
Wear it, forget it. Battery last forever.

iPhone 5s
It’s not perfect, but it’s the best. Until the next iPhone come out.
